Radial. In summary, the new thread pattern of the tyre casing means fewer threads are engaged at any one time, making a more supple and conforming tyre.

This results in a larger contact patch, which means more grip. You can also safely run higher pressures whilst keeping superior grip and braking performance.

We predict all major tyre manufacturers will follow suit within the next two years.

The Albert tyre pattern is an all-rounder, 2-3-2 pattern similar to the Maxxis Assegai but slightly faster rolling.

The Schwalbe Trail casing is slightly more protective than a Maxxis Exo+ tyre. As noted above, you can run higher pressures with no compromise to comfort.

Weight: 27.5 x 2.5 Trail - approx 1110 grams

The Brig Note: The 2.5 Albert measures true at about 2.4", and the 2.6 Albert measures true at around 2.55". Tested on 30mm internal width rim.
